Makeshift Print Collective
Identity and collateral for a membership-supported printmaking collective that offers instruction and open studios for printmakers using screen-printing1 as their desired medium. The collective's identity, direct mail materials and advertising all communicate the lo-fidelity aesthetic of do-it-yourself printmaking while using the work of members to promote the collective and attract new membership. Wherever possible—and keeping with the do-it-yourself ethic—deliverables such as the business cards and coursebook covers are created in-house by reusing rejected prints and old make-ready sheets2.
